UTIL Student Candace Brakewood named an ARCS Scholar

UTIL graduate student Candace Brakewood was recently named an 2012 ARCS Scholar.  The ARCS Foundation  advances science and technology in the United States by providing financial awards to academically outstanding US Citizens studying to complete degrees in science, engineering, and medical research.  On November 14, the Atlanta Chapter of ARCS presented 11 students from Georgia Tech with ARCS scholarships.  Brakewood was one of two PhD students from the Transportation program in Civil Engineering awarded this honor.  Jamie Fisher, a graduate student working with Professor Adjo Amedkudzi, was also named a 2012 ARCS Scholar.
