Aditi is a PhD student at UTIL working on bike and pedestrian infrastructure.  She received her MS in Civil Engineering from University of Connecticut and her bachelor's from Jadavpur University in India. Aditi worked as a structural design engineer at the beginning of her career and recently worked as a civil servant in India, concentrating on policy and developmental issues when she took a break to come back for graduate studies.  


Her current and proposed research topics include bike route choice modeling, safety and accessibility issues for cyclists and pedestrians, and benefit cost analysis of bike-ped facilities for the Georgia Department of Transportation. In addition to bike-pedestrian facilities, Aditi's interests include complete streets design, reliability, and transportation system resilience. She is also intensely curious about anything that can help make the world greener, more equitable, sustainable and livable.
