Calvin received his B.S. in civil engineering from Brigham Young University and started graudate school at Georgia Tech in 2015. Earning his M.S. in civil engineering from Tech in 2018, Calvin will graduate with his Ph.D. in 2019. He has been recongized as a recipient of the GA Tech Presidential Fellowship, two-time Eisenhower Fellow, and a three-time ARCS Scholar. His research currently includes studying user perceptions of bicycle infrastructure and the impact of infrastructure on bicycle trip making. This work includes major projects being funded by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Georgia Department of Transportation. In addition to research, he was involved with the student chapter of ITE @ GT as the VP of Outreach and competed with the student traffic bowl team for three years.  Calvin's future plans include a career in academia; "I believe that I can make a difference in the world, and that ongoing research along with quality education of the future generations of engineers are instrumental in building a better tomorrow".
