Dave is a 3rd year PhD student in UTIL. Before starting his doctoral studies, he managed CDC's Global Road Safety efforts. At CDC, he collaborated with Ministries of Health, the World Health Organization, and Non-governmental Organizations to collect better road traffic injury data, evaluate their road safety programs, and provided technical expertise to the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration, and the US Mission to the United Nations. He has a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science from Villanova University.
His research is focused on how to build healthier, more livable cities. He has contributed to projects to analyze the multiple uses and benefits of urban greenspaces, analyzing transit ridership, and developing new metrics of roadway safety and performance.
