Sharon is currently a second-year Masters student at Georgia Tech and a recipient of the Foreign Fulbright scholarship. She received her BA in Ethnic Studies from Mount Holyoke College, focusing on urban political economy and race relations in multicultural societies. She then spent 6 years working in government and politics at the federal, state and city level in Malaysia, frequently balancing duties as a policy researcher and constituency officer in urban electoral districts and communities. Her interests include transit and multimodal planning, transportation demand management, computer/web programming for transportation planning/data analysis, and data visualization tools and techniques.
